Detailed Solution

The south block and north block are two buildings of the Central Secretariat built during the 1930s.
When the British shifted the government offices to north and south blocks in New Delhi, the north and south blocks were introduced as the two secretariat buildings. Edwin Lutyens and Herbert Baker designed the buildings. The secretariat buildings were constructed to impose white masters' dominance over the indigenous. On Raisina hill, the North and South blocks, placed across from each other, depict the nation's capital's dominant attitude. It houses the government offices' headquarters as well as the Delhi assembly.
