The speed of a sound wave is directly proportional to the wavelength of the same wave.
The speed of sound is the distance travelled by the sound wave in a given time. The speed of sound can be determined by the following formula:
= λ ×f
Where is the velocity,  λ is the wavelength of the sound wave, and is the frequency. The speed of sound is found to be increasing with an increase in the wavelength, and it has also been observed that when the wavelength is decreased, the speed of the wave also decreases. Therefore the speed of sound is directly proportional to the wavelength.
