Detailed Solution

The Sri Lankan Tamils launched Parties and struggled to fulfil their demands.
Sri Lankan Tamils formed political parties and organised struggles and movements to ensure they received their fair share of demands. The movements started to recognise Tamil as an official language, for the Tamil community to have regional autonomy, and for equal chances in education and employment. However, the state government consistently rejected their demands. Sri Lankan Tamils established political parties in the 1980s to fight to create an independent Tamil Eelam (state). This misunderstanding between the two communities quickly became a broader conflict that soon turned into a civil war.
