The stage of oocyte observed in the secondary follicle of human female is primary oocyte.          

• Primary oocyte: Before birth, during fetal development, and until puberty, oocytes in the ovaries are arrested in prophase I of meiosis, and they are called primary oocytes. These primary oocytes are encased in primary and secondary follicles.
• Secondary oocyte: Primary oocyte completes meiosis I in the tertiary follicle to form secondary oocyte and a first polar body
