In the given AP, n=12,  a=4 and S12=256.
As we know, sum of n terms of an AP is given by,
Sn=n22a+n-1d
 256=122[2×4+(12-1)d]
 256=68+11d
 256=48+66d  208=66d
d=10433

tn=a+(n-1)d
t12=4+(12-1)10433 = 4+11×10433 =12+1043 t12=1163 Therefore, 1163 is the last term of the given AP.
