Detailed Solution

Let, the digit at units’ place = x and digit at ten’s place = y

Now as per question,

 x + y = 8, and,

10x + y = 18 + (10y + x)

 x = 8 - y

10 (8 - y) + y =18 + (10y + 8-y) {Substituting the value of x}

80 - 10y + y =18 + 10y + 8 - y

-9y -9y = 18 + 8 - 80

-18y = -54

y = -54/-18

y = 3

x = 8 - 3

x = 5

Therefore, the number is 35.
