Given quadratic equation is x2-6x+2=0.
We know that,
The standard form of a quadratic equation is ax2+bx+c=0, where a,b  c are real numbers and a≠0.
Then, sum of the roots is given by –ba.
After comparing the given equation with the standard form, we get,
a=1,b=-6, c=2 Then,
Sum of the roots =–ba
=–-61 =6 ∴ The sum of the roots of the equation x2-6x+2=0 is 6.
Hence, the correct option is 3.
