It is given that the sum of three consecutive natural numbers is 114.
Let x, x + 1 and x + 2 be the three consecutive numbers.
Then,
x + (x + 1) + (x + 2) = 114
On simplifying,
x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 114
3x + 3 = 114
3x = 114 - 3
3x = 111
On dividing 3 on both sides,
3x 3 = 111 3 x=37  
Hence the required numbers are 37, 37+1, 37+2 i.e., 37,38,39.
