Given, the sum of two consecutive even numbers = 74
Let, the two consecutive even numbers = x and x+2
As per question, x + (x+2) = 74
⇒ 2x = 74 - 2
⇒ 2x = 72
⇒ x = 722
⇒ x = 36 .
Therefore, the two consecutive even numbers ⇒ 36 and (36+2)= 38.
