Detailed Solution

The Supreme Court of India was established on 26th January 1950. In India, the highest judicial authority is the Supreme court of India. It is presided over by the chief justice of India. It is located on Tilak Marg, New Delhi. India has an integrated judicial system. It means whatever decision is made by the Supreme court of India is binding on all other courts existing in India. Until the parliament by law prescribed a large number of judges, the composition of judges in the supreme court of India was not more than 30 judges. In other words, in the Supreme court of India, the number of judges can be increased or decreased by the parliament of India. The function of the Supreme court is to pass judgment on cases like original, appellate, and advisory.
