Detailed Solution

The Swadeshi movement was a part of the Indian National Movement. This movement aimed to gain independence by striking the British government economically with a boycott of government services and British products. The nationalist feeling was spreading in the nation with the help and ideas of unifying the people with symbols and icons. These icons and symbols inspired people towards nationalism. During the movement in Bengal, a tricolour flag with red, green, and yellow was designed. The eight lotuses were also there, representing the eight provinces of British India, and a crescent moon, representing Hindus and Muslims.
