Detailed Solution

The Tawa river joins the river Narmada in Hoshangabad.
The Tawa river is one of the main tributaries of the river Narmada. In 1978, a dam was built on the Tawa river (it began construction twenty years back but was completed in 1978). The Tawa river and the struggles for justice around it are studied as a part of the struggle for equality. People residing near the Tawa dam organised themselves to form Tawa Matsya Sangh, which fought for their right to live. They organised different rallies and protests to demand their rights.
