Detailed Solution

The tax that had the most severe effect on pastoralists in India was the Grazing tax.
The levy per cattle head, or grazing tax, had the most significant impact on Indian pastoralists. The colonial authorities of India enforced the grazing tax in the mid-nineteenth century. This was placed on a pastoralist by the British government (colonial authority). The regulation of the tax criteria that pastoralists had to pay was that they had to pay a tax per head of cattle for grazing. The collection system has become more efficient over time. However, this tax impacted the lives of pastoralists and their livestock since the cost of cattle and having a large number of cattle made this very difficult for pastoralists because the per head tax fee was costly to pastoralists.
