Detailed Solution

Given for a distance of 10 km, the charge paid is ₹ 105 and for a journey of 15 km, the charge paid is ₹ 155.
Fixed charge = x.
Charge for distance = ₹ y per km.
Charge for 10 km = ₹ 105.
According to question,
x+10y=105      ----- 1
Charges for 15 km = ₹ 155.
Equation is,
x+15y=155        ----- 2
From above equation 1,
y= 105x 10   For the value of x,
Putting the value of y in equation 2,
x+15 105x 10 =155
10x+157515x=155×10
10x15x=15501575
5x=25
x = 5
Now, the value of y,
5+10y=105
10y=1055
10y=100
y=10
Charge for 25 km,
=x+25y =5+25×10 =5+250
=255   The amount for 25 km is ₹ 255.
Hence, option 1 is correct.
