Given for a distance of 10 km, the charge paid is ₹ 105 and for a journey of 15 km, the charge paid is ₹ 155.
Fixed charge = x.
Charge for distance = ₹ y per km.
Charge for 10 km = ₹ 105.
According to question,

x + 10 y = 105

----- 1
Charges for 15 km = ₹ 155.
Equation is,

x + 15 y = 155

----- 2
From above equation 1,

y = 105 − x 10

For the value of x,
Putting the value of y in equation 2,

x + 15 105 − x 10 = 155

10 x + 1575 − 15 x = 155 × 10

10 x − 15 x = 1550 − 1575

− 5 x = − 25

x = 5
Now, the value of y,

5 + 10 y = 105

10 y = 105 − 5

10 y = 100

y = 10

Charge for 25 km,

= x + 25 y = 5 + 25 × 10 = 5 + 250

= 255

The amount for 25 km is ₹ 255.
Hence, option 1 is correct.
