Detailed Solution

The tenure of the members of the Rajya Sabha is six years. The Rajya Sabha is also known as the State Council. It is the highest chamber of India's bicameral Parliament. It now has the highest enrollment of 245, with 233 chosen by state and union territory legislatures using single transferable votes through Open Voting using a ballot method. The President of India has the authority to select 12 people for their contributions to art, literature, science, and social work. The Rajya Sabha has an inherent seating limit of 250. Of these 238 members, 238 are chosen, and 12 are designated. Article 80 of the Indian Constitution states as much. The upper house is not subject to dissolution, but members retire every six years and are replaced by new members.
