The nucleus act as the control centre of the cell. It has three main parts: the nucleoplasm, the nucleolus, and the chromatin.

Nucleoplasm is found inside the nucleus. It is a highly gelatinous, sticky liquid that supports the chromosomes and nucleoli.

The nucleolus is a dense spherical area within the nucleus where ribosomal subunits are packaged/synthesised.

Chromatin is an entangled mass of fine, thread-like structure present inside the nucleus. It is a complex of DNA, RNA and proteins.
