The trajectory of a charged particle moving parallel to a uniform magnetic field is straight line.
According to Lorentz’s force,
F=qvBSinθ
Where F represents force on the particle having charge q units having velocity v in the magnetic field B and θ is the angle between the direction of magnetic field and the direction of motion of charge particles.
Since the charged particle moves along the direction parallel to the magnetic field. Therefore θ=1800.
Then the force acting on the particle is, F=qvBSin1800
=0.
Then the particle continues moving along the trajectory i.e. straight line.
