Detailed Solution

The triangular slave trade was conducted between Europe, Africa, and America.
In the seventeenth century, these slaves were bought from the local chieftains in Bordeaux and Nantes in Africa. They were then branded, shackled, sent off to the Caribbean, and sold to plantation owners in Europe and Asia. Thus, the slave-trading market was owed to the economic prosperity and flourishing market of Bordeaux and Nantes port cities. However, the exploitation of these labourers helped them meet the demand of European markets for commodities like sugar, coffee, and indigo. Most of these enslaved people were brought to Europe and Asia from Africa, thus creating a triangular slave trade between the three continents.
