In parietal placentation the ovary is unilocular due to the fusion of carpels only at the periphery and ovules are borne on the inner walls of the ovary along the fused margins. The ovary is one chambered but it become two chambered due to formation of false septum called replum Eg;- Brassica, Argemone.
