Detailed Solution

The value of the prime meridian is 0°.
The meridians are all of equal lengths. The 0° longitude is known as the Prime Meridian. It gives us a 180° eastward count and a 180° westward count. The earth is divided into two equal halves by the Prime Meridian and the 180° meridian, namely, the Eastern Hemisphere and the Western Hemisphere. The 180° East and 180° West meridians are on the same line. For a longitude of a place, the letter E is given for the East and the letter W for the west.
