The given equations are: 

3x + 2y = 9……(i) and, 

2x + 6y = 6……..(ii) 

Multiplying (i) by 2 and (ii) by 3 we get, 

6x + 4y = 18 

6x + 18y = 18 

Subtracting these two equations we get, y=0 

Putting y=0 in (i) 

3x + 0 = 9 

 x = 3 

Hence the value of x and y is 3 and 0 respectively.
