Here the three terms of the arithmetic progression are given as 2x, x+10 and 3x+2.
Suppose the first term is 2x, the second term is x+10, and the third term is 3x+2.
Now we know, using the arithmetic mean property, that the sum of the first term and the third term of an arithmetic sequence is equal to the second term of the arithmetic sequence.
⇒2x+3x+2=2x+20
=Taking variable on one side and constant on the other side we get,
 2x+3x−2x=20−2
