Let $f\left(x\right)=\frac{x^7-3x^5+7x^3-x}{{\cos }^{2}x}$ then $f(-x)=-f\left(x\right)$ so ${\int }_{-1}^1 f\left(x\right)\mathrm{d}x=0$                  (Property 12)

Let $g\left(x\right)={\cos }^{-1} x$ then $I_1={\int }_{-1}^1 {\cos }^{-1} x\mathrm{d}x$

$={\int }_{-1}^1 {\cos }^{-1} (-x)\mathrm{d}x$                       (Property 8)

$={\int }_{-1}^1 \left(\pi -{\cos }^{-1} x\right)\mathrm{d}x=2\pi -I_1$

Thus $I=I_1=\pi .$
