Detailed Solution

Oxygenated blood passes through the left side of the heart. Oxygenated blood from the pulmonary veins enters left atrium. From there it enters the left ventricle which pumps it into the aorta.

The bicuspid valve or mitral valve guards the opening between the left atrium and the left ventricle.

The aortic semilunar valve guards the opening between the left ventricle and the aorta.

tricuspid valve and pulmonary semilunar valve regulate the flow of deoxygenated blood passing through the right side of the heart.
