The Vindhyas is located in central India.
The Vindhyas are a group of hills and mountains in west-central India. In west-central India, they are a complex, asymmetrical chain of mountain ridges, hill ranges, highlands, and plateau ridges. The Satpura Range is one of the several separate hill systems that previously made up the Vindhyas, a broadly defined hill range in central India. The Vindhya range is parallel to the Narmada-Son valley. This range extends to Gujarat in the west, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar in the north, and Chattisgarh in the east. Rice was also grown in the northernmost section of the Vindhya Mountains.
