According to Moseley's law, the frequency for K series is given by

ν(Z1)2cλ(Z1)21λ=k(Z1)2                      ...(i)

where k is a constant. Let λ' be the wavelength of Kα line emitted from molybdenum, then 

1λ=kZ12                  ...(ii)

Dividing (i) and (ii) we get

λ=Z1Z12λλ=3014212×1.415=0.708
