Weight of a body is product of mass and acceleration due to gravity acting on it. But mass of body does not depend on gravity. Therefore, mass of body will be same everywhere, at the moon or at earth.

w_{e} = ma

weig h t on eart h w_{e} = 180 N

Given,

gravity of eart h g_{e} = 10 m / s

mass = \frac{w_{e}}{g} = \frac{180}{10} = 18 kg

weight at the moon,

w_{m} = {\frac{1}{6} * w}_{e}

w_{m} = \frac{1}{6} * 180 = 30 N
