The wires that are used to carry electricity from one place to another are red wire, black wire and green wire.
The electric current enters our house through three different wires. They are red wire, black wire and green wire. Red wire is said to be the live wire which carries voltage of 220 V. It carries the electric current from various appliances. Black wire is called the neutral wire with zero potential. It is used to carry the return path for current. Green wire is said to be the earth wire. Earth wire protects the electrical appliances from getting damaged, due to sudden voltage increase.
