Detailed Solution

The workforce population includes people from the age group of 15 years to 59 years.
People who are not looking for jobs are not included in it. In 2020, the total number of workers in India was 501 million, only second after China, and of these, over 94% work in the unorganised sector. The rest work in the organised sector and contribute around 60% to the GDP. India's labour force participation rate is 47.3%. The labour force participation rate is the portion of the working population currently employed or seeking employment. Students and homemakers aren't a part of this participation rate.
