Detailed Solution

Concept- The adrenocortical zona fasciculata is the major producer of glucocorticoids (cortisol in humans and corticosterone in rodents) . In adults, cortisol secretion is pulsatile, with a stable frequency of around one pulse per hour.
The adrenal gland is divided into two parts. The outer one is the cortex and the inner is the medulla. The medulla is further divided into three regions that are zona glomerulosa, zona fasciculata, and zona reticularis.Zona fasciculata secretes cortisol. Adrenaline is secreted by the adrenal medulla while aldosterone by the zona glomerulosa.
Hence, option 2 is the correct answer.
