The Fourth Coalition, which mainly contained Prussia and Russia, along with Sweden, Saxony, and Great Britain, fought against Napoleon’s French Empire and defeated it in a war that lasted from 1806–1807. After the European powers collectively defeated Napoleon, Britain, Russia, Prussia, and Austria met in Vienna to make up a settlement for Europe. The Waterloo battle (June 5–July 8, 1815), which was fought between the French army of the North and two Seventh Coalition armies and a Prussian army, defeated Napoleon in the decisive battle of Waterloo, forced Napoleon to step down for the second time, and ended the Napoleonic era.
