Detailed Solution

There are 4 Varnas.
The four Varnas are Brahmans, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, and Shudras. Varnas are hierarchically structured social groups in Hindu tradition. Within Hinduism, there are four Varnas, and each Varna had defined roles and responsibilities in society, as well as a code of conduct they were expected to follow. People were divided along caste lines. Brahmans and Kshatriyas considered themselves to be from the "upper castes." Others, such as traders and moneylenders (also known as Vaishyas), were assigned after them. Peasants and artisans such as weavers and potters followed (referred to as Shudras). At the bottom were those who worked to keep cities and villages clean or did jobs that upper castes considered "polluting," meaning they could lose caste status. Many of these lower castes were also considered "untouchable" by the upper castes.
