Detailed Solution

There are about 7 per cent Christians in Sri Lanka who are both Tamils and Sinhalas.
Sri Lanka is an island country in the south of India, connected by the Palk Strait. It has a total of 7 percent of people belonging to the Christian community who are both Tamils and Sinhala. Sinhala is the majority community in the country in favor of which majoritarianism is observed in Sri Lanka. They comprise 74.6 percent of the total population. However, most of the people belonging to the Sinhalese linguistic group follow Buddhism and not Christianity. The Tamils, a minority community of Sri Lanka (about 11-12 percent of the total population),  majorly follow either Hinduism or Islam. But, some people in both the communities are Christians too.
