Given:
Force F= 10 N
Mass M1=6 kg
Mass M2=4 kg
To find:
Force on the lighter block and acceleration
Now, we calculate the total mass,
m=M1 + M2
= 6 +4
= 10 kg
Therefore the total acceleration (a) is given by
F=ma
a=Fm
  a=1010
  a=1 ms-2
Now, Force on the lighter block
F=M2
  F=4×1
  F=4 N
Therefore, the force on the lighter block is 4 N and acceleration is 1 m/s2.
