Detailed Solution

There are two kinds of federation, coming together federation and holding together federation.
A federation system has two seats of power that are autonomous in their respective spheres. A federal system differs from a unitary system in that sovereignty is constitutionally divided into two territorial levels, each of which can act independently in some areas. Federations are classified into two types: Holding Together Federation - In this type, powers are shared among various constituent parts in order to accommodate the entity's diversity. Power is generally skewed toward the central authority here. For instance, India, Spain, and Belgium. Coming together federation - In this type, independent states join forces to form a larger unit. States have more autonomy in this type of federation than in other types of federations. USA, Australia, and Switzerland are examples.
