Detailed Solution

Dandi March marked the beginning of the Civil Disobedience Movement.
Mahatma Gandhi led the Salt Satyagraha and marched from Sabarmati Ashram in Ahmedabad to Dandi on the Gujarat coast to break the salt rule. The salt law did not allow people to make or collect salt in the sea. Breaking the salt law was his first challenge to the British government. Gandhiji was arrested and detained in Poona. Thus thousands of men and women joined the Civil Disobedience Movement. But about 60,000 people were arrested during the operation, and the English killed many. The movement spread to all parts of India, including the nobility's provinces. The Civil Disobedience movement was led by Abdul Ghaffar Khan in the northwest, Rani Gaidinliu of Nagaland in the northeast, and C. Rajagopalachari in the south.
