Detailed Solution

Mandapa is a location in temples where people might gather.
In the architecture of Hindu temples in India, the mandap is also known as a mandapa or a mandapam. Mandapas can be classified as "open" or "closed" based on whether or not they have walls. One or more mandapas are usually present in temples on the same axis between the sanctuary and the temple entrance. Additional mandapas may be positioned on the sides of a large temple or left unattached. Typically, the prayer room for a temple was constructed in front of the sanctum sanctorum (garbhagriha). This hall or pavilion with pillars is used for public rituals. It is a part of the main temple complex and is utilized for musical and dancing rituals.
