We have to find the probability that the drawn cards is of black colour.
The probability of the random experiment E is,
P E = Number of favourable outcomes n E   Total number of outcomes n S  
Since three cards of spades are lost from a pack from a deck of 52 playing cards, so, the remaining cards in a deck are,
n S =523 n S =49  
The black cards include 13 spades and 13 clubs. Thus, after removing spades from black colour cards,
n E =41 n E =3  
So, the probability of getting black card is
P(E)= 23 49
