Detailed Solution

Given, three different coins are tossed together.
The probability of an event to be occurred is the division of the number of favourable outcomes by the total number of outcomes that is,
Probability of an event =  Number of favourable outcomes   Total number of outcomes
The possible outcomes of tossing three coins are hhh, hht, hth, htt, thh, tht, tth and ttt where h stands for head and t for tail.
The total number of possible outcomes is 8.
The outcomes of getting two heads are htt, tht, tth or ttt.
So, the number of favourable outcomes is 4.
Find the required probability by dividing the number of favourable outcomes by total number of possible outcomes that is, 4 and 8 respectively.
Probability  =  Number of favourable outcomes   Total number of possible outcomes  = 4 8 = 1 2   The probability of getting at least two tails is 1 2  .
Hence, the correct option is 1.
