Three different liquids are filled in a U-tube as shown in figure. Their densities are ${\rho }_1,{\rho }_2$  and ${\rho }_3$ respectively. From the figure we may conclude that

At the level of boundary between  ${\rho }_2$ and ${\rho }_3$.

Pressure will be equal from both sides. Hence,

${\rho }_1\mathrm{gh}+{\rho }_3\mathrm{g}\frac{\mathrm{h}}{2}={\rho }_2\mathrm{gh};{\rho }_3=2\left({\rho }_2-{\rho }_1\right)$

From this expression itself it is clear that

${\rho }_2>{\rho }_1$
