Q.

Three point particles P, Q, R move in a circle of radius 'r' with different but constant speeds. They start moving at t=0 from their initial positions as shown in the figure. The angular velocities (in radsec) of P, Q and R are 5π, 2π and 3π respectively, in the same sense.

1st check when Q and R will meet , R is π rad/s faster then Q

For the first time they will meet

t=3π2π (Relative angle between them =3π2)

t=32 sec.

Now they will meet again after 2π rad

So time is 2ππ=2 sec.

For Q and R , t=32 s, (32+2) s,( 32+2+2) s, .....

Similarly for P and R

t=12s, (12+1)s,( 12+1+1)s

So 3 will meet at 32s for the 1st time.

 P and Q will meet at

t=16 s,( 16+23) s,( 16+43)s, ..... =16s, 56s, 96s ....

So P and Q will meet 3 times in this interval of time (32s).
