For a satellite revolving around sun in an elliptical orbit, of eccentricity 'e' and semi major axis 'a'

Let r1 and r2 be the distances from the Sun, of the perihelion and aphelion points respectively.

r1=a(1e)  and  r2=a(1+e)

 Total energy =KE at perihelion +PE at perihelion

=12mv12GMmr1=12mv12GMma(1e)

By angular momentum conservation,

mv1r1=mv2r2v1(1e)=v2(1+e)...(1)

By energy conservation,

12mv12GMma(1e)=12mv22GMma(1+e)..(2)

using (1) and (2).

v1=GMa1+e1e  and  v2=GMa1e1+e

Hence total energy =12mv12GMma(1e)=12mGMa1+e1eGMma(1e)=GMm2a.

So the total energy is same for all three orbits.

using the value of v1=GMa1+e1e and r1=a(1e).

Angular momentum is given by L=m×GMa1+e1e×a(1e)=mGMa1-e2.

So the orbit having higher eccentricity will have lower angular momentum.

hence, Angular momentum of satellite-1 is maximum and Angular momentum of satellite-2 is more than satellite-3.
