Detailed Solution

To stop candidates from changing their parties the anti-defection law has been passed.
A lot of new laws have been passed by the government to reform the parties. It was observed that many elected candidates changed their party to become ministers or receive cash rewards. Thus to limit such practice, an anti-defection law was passed. The candidates must sign an affidavit passed by the Supreme Court that records their money, power and criminal records. It is mandatory for all candidates. In every political party, there should be about ⅓ seats for women.
Moreover, political parties should hold regular elections. They also submit their income tax returns to the Election Commission. State funding for the polls should be available to avoid financial pressure on parties.
