Vishvamitra has a dialouge with the river Sutlej.

There is a dialogue between a sage named Vishvamitra and two rivers- Beas and Sutlej worshipped as goddesses. Vishvamitra prays to rivers flowing like two swift horses, two shining cows that lick their calves, and chariots to the sea. He asks them not to raise their level so that the chariots and carts of a singer can cross safely. Historians remarks that this hymn was composed around Beas and Sutlej and that the sage lived in a society where horses and cows were valued animals.
