Detailed Solution

Trabeate style is also called corbelled.
Superstructures were widely popular before the seventh century. However, between the seventh and thirteenth centuries, architects became creative and started to add extra doors, rooms, and windows to buildings. Architects employed the trabeate style to construct these structures, where a horizontal beam was placed across two vertical columns. This style was alternatively referred to as the corbelled technique. The corbelled style was widely adopted when constructing temples, tombs, and mosques. In addition, large stepped-wells were added to these buildings between the tenth and the thirteenth centuries. The Kandariya Mahadeva temple and the Rajarajeshvara temple at Thanjavur are architectural marvels built in ancient times when there were no technological advancements.
