Tropical rainforests are found in areas which receive heavy rainfall. Because of their high density, the sunlight here doesn’t reach the ground. These forests are also known as Evergreen forests. The major trees found in these forests are mahogany, ebony, and rosewood. The places where these forests are found in India are the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, parts of the Northeastern states, and a narrow strip of the Western slope of the Western Ghats.
