Given that, 24 is split into two parts.
Their sum of 146 is obtained by multiplying the first component seven times and the second component five times.

= 24 − n

According to question,

⇒ 7 n + 5 24 − n = 146 ⇒ 7 n + 5 (20) − 5 (n) = 146 ⇒ 7 n + 120 – 5 x = 146 ⇒ 2 n + 120 = 146 ⇒ 2 n + 60 = 146 ⇒ n + 60 = 1462 ⇒ n + 60 = 73 ⇒ n = 73 − 60 ⇒ n = 13

Substituting value of

in 24−n, to get the second part:

⇒ 24 − 13 ⇒ 11
