Given, two complementary angles differ by 10°.
When the sum of a pair of angles is 90 degrees then they are called complementary angles.
Let one of the angles be x°.
So the other angle should be 90-x°.
According to the question, x-(90°-x)=10.
x-90°+x=10
x = 50°
The other angle is 90°-x=90° - 50°=40°.
Hence the two angles are 50° and 40°.
