Detailed Solution

Let two consecutive positive odd numbers be x and x + 2.

Sum the square of the numbers =x2+(x+2)2

It is given that the sum is 130. Therefore,

  x2+(x+2)2 =130x2+x2+4x+4 =1302x2+4x126 =0x2+2x63 =0

This is the required quadratic equation.
