Volume of cube = l 3  , where l is the edge of the cube.
We will first find the length of the side-
  l 3 =512  
l=8  
When we join 2 cubes, the resultant side will be length, l = 16 cm, breadth, b = 8 cm, nd height, h = 8 cm.
Lateral surface area of cuboid = 2h(l+b), where l is the length, b is the breadth and h is the height of the cube.
The lateral surface area (LSA) of the cuboid-
LSA = 2× 8(16+8)
LSA=384c m 2  
The lateral surface area of the resulting cuboid is 384c m 2  .
